First, it comes with DeWalt's 18-volt extended run-time battery and tune-up mode charger, but even better, it'll run off any 9.6- to 18-volt DeWalt battery for virtually unlimited run time without cords or expensive disposable batteries! Then, press the power button and the unit electronically levels itself in both level and plumb modes. The high-power beam is bright and sharp--it can be seen up to 100 feet from the unit or even further when in chalk-line mode. The laser's remote control makes one-man setup easy! The remote can operate all the laser's functions, so once it's set up, you don't have to go back to it. The out-of-level shutoff ensures the DW077 will only operate when level or plumb, making leveling easy and mistakes rare! The laser has an internally shock-isolated leveling mechanism, a weatherproof housing, and a hard-shell kit box for many years of reliable, accurate service. The new DW0772 laser detector will locate the beam up to 600 feet (radius) from the laser. The detector is accurate to plus or minus 1/25 inch (1 mm), features front and rear LCD displays, can withstand a one-story drop to concrete, and is completely waterproof. What happens if you drop it in wet concrete? No worries--just hose it off! The detector features two accuracy modes and three volume settings, including mute.
