The Dewalt DC985 14.4 Volt XRP ½
drill/driver/hammerdrill uses a DEWALT built
high-torque, high efficiency motor to deliver 450 in.-lbs.
of torque for drilling large diameter holes and driving
large screws. This XRP drill comes equipped with a
patented 3-speed transmission. The 3-speed option
allows the drill to be set at the optimum speed range for
the application being performed to maximize
performance. The DC985 has a max speed of 1,800
RPM which is 29% faster than high speed. This unit has
a maximum BPM speed of 30,600 BPM which allows for
high performance drilling in masonry applications. All
XRP drills feature a ½ all metal, ratcheting chuck with
carbide jaws to prevent bit slipping and bit fall out. Every
XRP drill is powered by an XRP extended run-time
battery that gives the drill long run-time and battery life.
The DC985 is designed with a pistol grip handle to allow
the user to hold the drill in line with the application being
performed. XRP drills are built to allow for the standard
nut drivers, screwdriver, and bit tip holders to be stored
on the tool. The DC985KA includes the
drill/driver/hammerdrill, two XRP extended run-time
batteries, one-hour Vehicle charger, double-ended
screwdriver bit, and carrying case.
